I cannot believe today marks the first anniversary since Brandi left us. Despite only having three short years with her she forever impacted my life. My world is a better place because she was in it. She always knew which role to assume in our friendship: mother, cool older sister, dispenser of sage advice, partner in crime, fellow MOOSE, etc. If not for her love and light I never would have survived the darkest days of my life in California.
Brandi’s daughter, Raven, chose to commemorate her mother with a unique and fitting tribute on social media. She encouraged all of us who loved her mother to post a photo of themselves wearing black attire with a bold red lip [two of Brandi’s signatures] with the hashtag “#brandigoddess.’ Seeing everyone’s beautiful pictures reminded me just how many people were touched by the force of nature that was Brandi Crook. We love you and we miss you.
